OK, I found a temporary solution for XP-users: Remove/Move codec_libxmp.dll, that's the plugin which is causing the crash. This means libmodplug will be used to play mods, which handles less formats and with less accuracy.
I'm guessing there's some kind of illegal instruction/memory address which is only triggered in XP. I'll have a look at it. |

For the Windows XP users, the attached file should fix the crashes.
Unzip and put it in the plugin dir overwriting the old one. |

Thanx Blazer. everything works But I did find one corner case where a bug hides. When you go from a ahx to another music format the player will close itself. but not the other way around, also don't happen with the other formats I have

@kkgarbod I can confirm that playing an AHX and then another file crashes most of the time (not always though), again this is only on XP. Will have a look.
@tomcat666 .cust means emulating an Amiga, so unfortunately that format is very complex and not something I see supported in the near future. |

AFAIK UADE is the only other player that supports CUST replay, it is possible to build it as a plugin as evidenced by the very obscure (and conceptually similar to BZR) Game Music Gear MX for the PSP. |

I didn't think it was impossible... but it may be very hard work. Good to know someone succeeded anyways |

Good news, I managed to get libsidplaypf working in BZR Player. I haven't it really but that Odyssey_2SID.sid not works fine
I'm not sure how stable/good this lib is, and if I should replace the old sidlib or keep it as an alternative. |

For those of you who don't use Facebook, here's a little heads-up on what's done at the moment for the next version:
Pattern view for three more PC Trackers: ImpulseTracker 2, Composer 669, Ultra Tracker Equalizer And some bugs fixed. |

I recently upgraded to Win7 and was struggling to get deliplayer to work under the new OS: In the end I gave up when it struggled to play all the files it used to do, even from the old installation, and started looking for more modern players to listen to all my old Amiga music.
I found this player, and reviews seemed to be good. However, I have to say I HATE the installer. It tries to install countless bloatware crap, and doesn't give the option to skip the first example of it. The only way to get just the player is to click the Red X, read carefully the pop up message, and then select Skip... it even has a check box to ask to redownload when Windows next boots! Shocking cheek. Yes you can click out of it, but it leaves an extremely nasty taste in my mouth, sorry. Sort that out please. I finally got the media player working without anything else, and then I run into a problem. Interestingly it's the same problem as I had before 7 years ago with deliplayer; http://www.exotica.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=692 Namely, certain games don't play at all (Wings, IK+) others only play the sound samples not the tunes, or only the first song on the list (Lemmings, Shadow of the Beast). I've redownloaded the lhz from Exotica and that's not the issue. So does anyone know how to replicate the solutions found for Deliplayer above to the new BZR please? |

I know the installer is nasty and tries to trick you to install other stuff too... you'll just have to be careful. I'll see how long I'll keep it.
Yes, certain games doesn't play at all because all formats aren't supported. About Beast (Whittaker format), there currently is an issue with the subsongs. You can listen to them if you change subsongs manually. If you however let a song play till the end it will skip the rest. |

I've removed the installer (with toolbar etc.). Zip is back!
