could you explain me please (i have no xbox) : the game is downloadable only on the xbox live service and works only on live connection with someone else? no AI? wouldn't be a releatively small feat to code the championship, single player like in the original swos? small feat in relation to the multiplayer coding part?

It's the same game as SWOS 96/97 on the amiga, with a few adjustments in graphics and player/team names plus an online mode. So yes, you can play single player all you want, all the competitions from the Amiga version.

It`s been taken off Xbox Live... online didn`t work apprently...

Apparently they put up the wrong version or something, which strikes me as a bit stupid.

I did consider getting a new console since PS2 came out, but the "supply base" here, among my friends is way below zero!
Damn, no one has or plays anything these days. There's no hype like with the PSX that almost everyone had. Now it's all into pc's and Gadu-Gadu and... that's that...

I've been playing the trial of this on XBLA and I have to say it's pretty sweet. It's suprisingly good to play with the 360 analogue stick. An authentic port, with a few graphical enhancements, achievements, online play and a remake of the title song. What more could you want?

swos is back now on the xbox live and it work very well on the live and alone.
