Beat It! aka Jammin II
A friend of mine is looking for an amiga game called Beat It!, also known as Jammin II, does anyone know where he can find it.
Thankyou in advance. |

That's a C64 game , with all these musical notes being spread on the whole screen ... yes I remember this.
I also remember that this has been posted on Shane's amigaemulation.com years ago (now RIP, Belgarath, you remember this thread for sure ) where somebody was cocksure about the fact that he has already played this on his Amiga. I say that it doesn't exist. Last edited by andreas; 16 July 2002 at 02:05. |

Damn...I swear I remember having this (as an adf, even) within the past year. I took a quick browse over my dirs and it doesn't turn up. When I get home, I will take a better look.

The closest to Jammin I remember playing on the Amiga would be Jumpin Jackson.
Edit : (yes it is possible to edit such a short post. Can't have the title of a Basket ball game instead of a C64 game. |

Yes my friend tells me that it was a C64 game and it had musical notes in it that chase you around the screen(?).
This means nothing at all to me as I'm a complete noob in amiga emulation, but hopefully it can spark something amongst you more experienced amiga owners |

So your friend *TOLD* you it was a C64 game?
Well, C64 games can't be played with Amiga emulators, even though both machines were manufactured by Commodore |

OK, the version of the game that I have was released on the Amiga in 1988. Although this was one year after the C-64 version was released (Beat It, aka Jammin' II) by Mastertronic, the Amiga version has nothing to do with that game except the same name. The Amiga game was published by Softgang (from Germany) and is a puzzle affair...nothing like the Mastertronic game (which definitely does not exist on the Amiga).

I entered the wrong info, in my last post, I meant to say theat the game was BASED on the C64 game, not that it was the C64 game that I was looking for, I already have the C64 version, complete with OTT colours. My mate tells me that there was an amiga version of it as well, but I cant find it.

Thanks!
(BTW: you upped the Softgang one for *me*, not for Si1va who is still looking for the "real" Beat It! ) |
