Hi does any one have this compilation disk.
I think it has a aqua colour backdrop and has the following games on the disk.

3D pool
Rick Dangerous
Moth
Tech
Sixtang
Quix

Looking perticulary for that disk, I have most of the games seperately except for sixtang, moth, tech.

Thanks for the upload

Yo tomcat thanks for the upload man, that disk really does bring back memories, now all I have to do is get my Amiga up here and use the real thing instead of emulation.

As for uploading compilation disks, I'll be keen to do that as well, we could try amiganostalgia.com but I reckon they need to do some extra work on their site. Ie put the menus in txt format next to all their compilation disks. So you know what you are downloading.

Mind you i'll be keen to help with that as I download lots of application disks, searching for some tools that I might like.

I will have any Defjam / CCS compacks you have going.. When I first got my Amiga, they were the first disks I copied - well I could only afford 10 blank disks and wanted to play as many games as possible.

Funny I never heard of Astronuts compilation disks until I rediscovered the Amiga through emulation.

[1] Trilogy Game Pack 06 found and uploaded.
Requires Kickstart 1.2 for the menu!
(if you insist on using 1.3, you must start every game by hand from WB, since everything is garbled, turning any menu selection into a 'mission impossible'.)

[2] Astronuts Game Disk 15 uploaded.
(Phantasm / Better Dead Than Alien / Computer Scrabble Deluxe)
Phantasm is a BEAST. Doesn't even work on WinUAE yet, but runs fine on my A1000 with no external drives, no sidecar expansion and KS 1.2 / 33.180. (Fails on KS 1.1, 1.2/33.166 and KS 1.3)

Great stuff Andreas ! We should really make up a Amiga Compilation web site where we could store (or atleast document - for the public ;-) ) Games and Utils compilations. There are already many in TOSEC, but badly documented (if you ask me) and I have A LOT of them on CD's scattered around.
If there is a php/mysql or similar guru here who could do a nice frontend for this then I can provide web space for the project. Would be nice...

Indeed, but I think we should first get all this (your) stuff in TOSEC.
Intentionally, I set the main focus on those NOT in your list (save from Astro-#50).

Major problem I can currently see in TOSEC is this inconsistency in naming! Some are named 'Astronuts ... ', some are named 'Astronut ...', some 'Astronut of the Attic ... ' ...
A horrible mess!

Yes, perhaps a separate site could indeed not only fill in some gaps, but also fix the compilations-games dat, making it a bit nicer to read through.

I was thinking more of a site with a database in the back where you could keep all the description and content files. I.e. you just name the file "Astronuts Game Disk #29.adf" or whatever convention we choose, but we should store the content in a database so a nice search is possible (you can find all compilations with a game/utility on them) with a cracker, trainer, state (read/write errors, KS versions on which the files work, tested on real amiga(s), etc.) info added. Also everything displayed in a nice hierarchical manner (with expanadle tree branches, etc.) would be nice and would make things tidy. I know it would require a lot of hard work, but thats why us freaks are there for ;-) I haven't gotten much time to go through the CD's yet, only done some 50 or so compilations, but then stopped since I didn't include all the info I wanted in the first place. TOSEC doesn't really provide any of this, thats why I don't think it is really worth putting everything there first.

Yes that seems like a great idea , directory listing and file listing, all the files on the disk. I love compilation disks.

And then you can do some statistics, ie how many of the disks, used 'stripes','colours','jumptype' etc etc.

And also some of the messages in s:startup-sequence
;Oi lamer what are you doing in here reading my file

Long ago I started renaming game compacts for importing into the HOL. Basically I would just put the name of the compiler and then the HOL game ID #'s in brackets, like "Astronut [520 cr TRSi, 1600 t + 10 Andreas].ADF". That doesn't deal with non-game programs but it's better than nothing, plus it would be in the HOL and nobody would have to create a new database.

I never did very many because there was so much non-game (or PD games) on these disks it seemed like everything should be documented.

The HOL idea may fail as there are too many PD games on the Astronut compacts.
