Ultimate Soccer Manager thinking it's a demo?

I downloaded the 2-disk ECS version of Ultimate Soccer Manager (my favorite soccer manager game besides the CM/FM series!) and loaded the disks onto my Gotek USB drive. When I start the game, it won't let me pick anyone other than Brighton and Hove because it claims to be the demo version. Huh? Copy protection that's failing?

Demo was on 2 disks, full version on 3. Try here http://www.oldgamesfinder.com/?q=ultimate+soccer&m=-2

Oh, it didn't say so I assumed the 3 disk version was AGA and the 2 disk version was ECS. I'll grab the three disk version and give that a spin instead.

On a loosely related topic, does anyone remember the PC version with the extra European players? If so, do they have a copy they're willing to upload?

Thanks for the link, I'm not sure whether http://www.old-games.com/download/49...soccer-manager actually has the extra European/Non-European players I'm thinking of (like Campos). It may not have even been an official release, but it was a popular version on the internet at one point.

Sorry, I don't know, football/soccer was not my cup of tea and managers even less.

For those interested, the USM data disk update for Amiga includes the data I was asking about. I can only guess that either the DOS version had a similar release or someone simply copied the Amiga game data to the DOS version.
