Wayne trying to sell Amiga.org for $10,000 USD

http://www.amiga.org/forums/showthread.php?t=48971

Personally I'm not fussed. I am surprised he bothered to go through the hassle of upgrading the forum (along with all the whining from some forum users) then to decide to sell it after the hard work is done.

I'm quite happy with EAB. It is more like home to me... it would be a shame to see all the galleries go.

$10k is a lot of spendoli to pay for a fanboi troll site and although Wayne thinks that the site has that value, sadly it's just sentimental value in his head and I doubt that anyone would realistically cough up that kind of moolah. Mind you, never underestimate the power of trolls in large numbers...

Wayne has been having a hissy fit for months now. It was inevitable.

I would imagine that an advertising squatting site might go as high as $1000 but no more.

Comedy gold I mean, what is he selling? The content in the forum? The name? So instead of simply looking for someone who continues to admin it, he wants to sell it... This is really brilliant Will love to watch the auction October or have a good laugh at the guy(s) who actually pays fro the site.

I love this bit the most :

I missed that quote. Who realistically spends $10K on Amiga hardware in one year?

(Doomy's customers doesn't count as an answer!)

If a.org folds as a result of this:

-What will happen to the useful stuff there?
-Where will we look to for easy amusement?

-Where will homeless loonies end up..?

*Edit*
I see several of us are thinking the same thing... There goes the neighbourhood!

lol, thanks for the mention...

I dunno though, must be pretty close even for this year so far... coughed up for 2 x SAM MBS and extras plus picked up that CPU Museum for $3500.00 then theres all those smaller $100 to $200 auctions... I am trying to give it up... I'm hoping acube will get there act together just one more time before xmas and I'll fork out for a third SAM MB... whee!

And if its high enough specs I'll want 2!
