Quake: Resurrection Pack

Is this available anywhere (http://hol.abime.net/5447) Or at least Malice and Q-Zone?
I seem to recall seeing having a Malice iso somewhere, but can't seem to find it anymore.

Check out the files section at Quaddicted:

https://www.quaddicted.com/archives/start

You should also get the map fix for Malice:

https://www.quaddicted.com/files/idg...poch/d8fix.zip

Extract it to Quake/Malice/maps - you will have to create the maps drawer yourself. For some reason they called the map d8b.bsp and instructed people to type map d8b into the console to play it. I can't see any reason why it should not be renamed d8.bsp to replace the original so that it can be played normally in the game...

Thanks, but I could only find wad files for Malice there and I don't think that's all there is in the Amiga version:
"Malice is Quake plus, with external views, vehicles and a narrative with cut scenes."

Unless I'm not looking in the right place?

Sorry, I was being a little bit vague, as I wasn't sure about their sales status. You need to look in files/commercial/

Thanks, I see it now. They are the PC versions though, I guess I just copy the pak and map files over?

Now I'm curious, was there any actual Resurrection Pack release for the Amiga or we would just copy the files over from the PC version?
I know Time of Reckoning never had a specific Amiga release, but what about Malice and Q-Zone?

Afaik the files were all interchangeable so even if there was an Amiga version the map files etc would have come from the pc etc.

Did someone say [ Show youtube player ]

Yep just use the PC data files, the ports don't care where they came from

Yep, got them working just fine.

I'm getting an error when starting a game in Ravages of the Apocalypse though, console always displays: 'light_lev' is not a field

Not sure exactly what this mean as the game seems to start and run just fine afterwards. Perhaps the PC data files aren't fully compatible with the Amiga version?

By the way where can I find the open source version of Quake (http://hol.abime.net/2257)? Would like to compare it against the ClickBoom version.

It appears to be trying to adjust the light levels, don't think it is a serious problem... Are you running the latest version - it won't fix this problem but will let you play as any hero and has it's own chase-cam.

There are a several ports available, I think this was the first:

http://aminet.net/package/game/shoot/Quake68k

You might also like to look at the QuakeWorld port:

http://sun.hasenbraten.de/qw/

These are all the other 68k ports I know of:

http://aminet.net/package/game/shoot/awinquake

http://aminet.net/package/game/shoot/BlitzQuake_68k

http://aminet.net/package/game/shoot/sdlquake-1.0.9

Bernd Roesch's SDL ports... unavailable?

Yeah that's the one I'm using, doesn't seem to affect the game at all at least couldn't notice any real issues with it.

Thanks for the links. I was checking the Quake68k version from Aminet, not sure if that's the one mentioned at HOL though. Then again I'm not even sure if the HOL entry refers to any specific version at all

So apparently the Time of Reckoning frontend (allows you to select games, levels, etc.) comes in a separate floppy disk and isn't available in the CD, anyone happens to have this?
Found that info here: http://amr.abime.net/review_8756

Bumping this to see if anyone has the missing Time of Reckoning floppy disk. Aren't there any Quake Amiga fans around here?

The Time of Reckoning CD with Amiga front-end disk sold by Weird Science has been available on the EAB ftp site for a few weeks now, courtesy of NeoHippie.

btw what's up with the Alive Mediasoft isos on his folder?
CD versions of games like Ambermoon or Whales Voyage 2, don't think any of these had a CD release.

Had this discussion in another thread already. AliveMeadiaSoft Versions were unofficial bootlegs of Disk games burned onto CD.

Sure, a few CD releases by Alive were unofficial (e.g. Ambermoon, Goal! 2000).....but Whale's Voyage 2 and other neo games (Black Viper, Spherical Worlds, Fightin' Spirit, Cedric) were official releases AFAIK and were reviewed in the Amiga mags.

Is this the Whale's Voyage release you are referring to:
http://hol.abime.net/1695

This also includes the first game it seems, not sure if the iso on the server is this same version?

Any differences from the floppy release, like CDDA? I'm guessing not.
