help file or documentation using WinUAE

Is there a comprehensive help file or some documentation that is available for WinUAE that explains details about every and all features, what they are and how to use them?? I need something for OFFLINE use since I have very limited access to the Internet right now.

I have not been able to find something like this anywhere.. am I looking in the wrong place?

One of the things I was trying to find was where to install WinUAE plugins?

Hi Malakie,

you find a WinUAE helpfile here:

http://www.pcguru.plus.com/uae_faq.html

Copy the graphic filters to a "plugins" subfolder in your WinUAE.exe path (plugins\filtershaders\direct3d).
Copy the CapsImg.dll for IPF disk images support to your WinUAE.exe path.
Copy the uae_data folder for the drive sounds to your WinUAE.exe path.

Thanks... There are a lot of new things in 1.5.x and so I need to learn what they are and how to use them properly for my emulation stuff...

I was also just about to look up how to use IPF extension files but you answered that as well... Do you know why the IPF file format is used vs the standard .adf files etc? Just wondering...

IPF images are exact carbon copies of original games, with the fully intact copy-protection etc. btw: Don't ask for IPF games here.

Learning about AmigaOS is even a more interesting assignment you could give to yourself inmho

IPFs can be useful when only lame cracks exist for a specific game. IPFs are also the main dishes for the coders a wonderful Amiga project called WHDload : when THEY are looking for a game image to work on, THEY favor the IPF ! Some people even collect them for various (and sometimes obscure) reasons...
