Meh, just ruthlessly critical like everyone on the internet.

Indie retro news is the kind of site that makes it easy, to the point of fault, for people to judge games relatively; "this game looks better or worse than that game". And then you're up against some really impossible technical achievements that dwarf what the average loner hobbyist can manage.

I mean the first thing that popped into my head when I saw the opening post was "Wow, the graphics are custom. Respect.". That is probably not going to be the first thing that pops into the mind of the average gamer, retro-gamer or not

Difficult one really, you do get a real range of people on site from around the world each with differing views. One guy told us to stop posting any backbone games

I am a bit afraid there is a big danger this thread can easily turn to something we experienced with Coco Banana. Please everyone, calm down and mind your posts. Think twice before you publish your posts.

Jojo - looking at those ships - does the backbone allow spanish flags to be animated? It would add a lot to the visuals.

Actually you know what, I'm going to write what I want and where I want when it comes to news on my own site. This is not the first time I've been dictated to by people on EAB. I love games and that's that!

People will give both postive and negative vibes when it comes to games. It is just something you'll have to learn to deal with. It is a reason why one game gets game of the year and another doesn't even get 2 points.

All I'll say on the matter happy new year

If I see hateful disgusting comments in the future I'll do my hardest to remove them, but do not reply to them and give them pleasure. At the end of the day your games have been featured multiple times on live twitch streams from us and our good friends, so be thankful for that atleast.

You cannot please all.. You think our site has always been full of positive light? NO WAY

Jojo, Neil is right in this: his articles are ALWAYS positive to every new games and he is not responsible for stupid comments under the articles. If he would say your game is rubbish in his article, it would be similar to Amiga Future. But this is different - article is positive, haters are in comments. AF was negative in article and there are naturally no comments in printed magazine.

So what can I recommend to you: read Indie retro News articles, do not read comments bellow them.

Anyway - this new game would work excellent with CocoBanana engine I bet!

Thank you so much for that Predseda! I very very rarely put games in a bad light, unless of course I can't get a game to work and even then update that it's been fixed in some way

I don't think people hate the game, people really hate Backbone

I just want to say that I love the coverage I get for my games on Indie Retro News, I haven't witnessed much hating against my prods but you do get the odd knob head who doesn't understand the technical side of things and there isn't much point in explaining. Thumbs up from me.
