Winuaex autofire?

Does Winuaex support sensible autofire like the old competition pro sticks? I've only managed to define autofire for one button (ie. button pressed=autofire on) but nothing that allows me to have a button autofire always (without pressing it). This effectively renders Turrican unplayable for me because either you have autofire and can't use the circular weapon, or you don't have autofire. Anyone an idea or should I have a go at the source myself?

Hi Jerry,

the newest WinUAE has this feature (toggle autofire), so it might be possible to implement it in WinUAEX without too much hassle. john4p used to assign two buttons for fire. One with autofire set and one without. Maybe that would do the trick

Yeah, thought about that, too. Problem is that autofire is not defined per physical button, but per emulated button. So even if I would assign two physical buttons they still would autofire (or not). Did john4p do this on Winuae or WinuaeX?

On WinUAE. Didn't know that WinUAEX handles it per emulated button. Seems like that isn't an option then

Nope, unless I'm just too stupid to figure it out. Just wanted to rule out that possibility (the config is somewhat peculiar) before I poke around in the code. Though I might do it nonetheless to check how difficult it would be to add 4 player support (a thing without which an amiga emu is not complete in my world - here we come Dynablaster).
