A Tanks Game?
Very Very simple game, you chose options such as wind, and the size of the hills before the game.
It was two players, you each controlled a tank - one on each side of the screen and separated by a range of hills, you adjusted the elevation of your turret, your power and possibly some other things to try and hit your opponent. One hit and it was over and there were also specials that made your missile go up/down, fans that blew them and targets that did something too. Hope you all can help |

This sounds an awful lot like Scorched Earth, which I think was a PC shareware game. Not sure if it was a copy from an Amiga PD or commercial title or not

I'd say...
The game you're talking about is called 'Tanx'. If it's the right game, you'll probably remember that the mouse pointer was the 'lemmings' hand, and most of the selection sounds were pretty much 'lemmings' like sounds. It was quite smooth scrolling as well, and the panel at the bottom was kind of 'pine' effect.
Hope this helps. |
