Selling your soul
Over and over again through the years I have seen many former Amiga owners cry and whine on the web about how their beloved Amiga is gone, they had to sell it and get a PC and bla bla bla. Can't they have more than one computer or @ least run WinUAE or Amithlon?

I've heard this all too many times aswell, ultimately it boils down to what the amiga means to you. For some people it was just another toy they got tired off and decided to move onto a PC. Those users winge and whine about not having an amiga but if it really meant that much to them they would make room for an amiga.
The real users of amiga know its more than just another "computer", the machine played a real component in developing their computing lives, it was probably the first computer they grew up with that had many of the great features we find in today's modern operating systems. The real users will always find room for the amiga on their desk! That is why "There is nothing like the real thing!" |

And the amiga was actually 2nd or 3rd computer I grew up with (depends how you count it) the first 2 places must go to VIC-20 and C-64 The VIC-20 was a christmas gift from my parents, which bought it by accident 'coz I really wanted a C-64 at that time.. After a year or so of constant reminding them of their mistake, I received my first C-64 yay!! |

that moment in time
Lets be honest the reason for this sites existence is for those with a liking of retro-technology .Reading another thread which turned into a list of each member admitting to own several {some over twenty ! } retro computor/ games consols. Like big schoolkids telling our mates over what we,ve got , Hey no critisism from me its about variety , having more than one dimension and interests that extend beyond a one idea expert .
And sometimes we just don,t have the space to leave all our big toys out at once ! |

I sold my first Amiga to get a car
I was very lucky to get a second shot at owning a decent amiga and will definately be holding on to the Amiga I currently own now. |
