A2630 accelerator black screen/not booting

Hi everyone

I have recently come across an A2630 accelerator card for my A2000, but, it just wont work.

A bit of background, the A2000 mainboard is a Rev 6.2, have repaired the battery damage, new CPU socket, had to change the first 2 zorro slots as well as the CPU slot due to corrosion and also U604.

Everything works, every expansion card i add work now without issues, so the zorro bus is working.

I have also tested the CPU slot, but inserting a 68010 into a cpu expansion board (the one SukkoPerra made) and it boots to the kickrom screen. So i assume the cpu slot works also.

Now when i plug in the A2630, all i get is a black screen. Thats it. Can't get into the pre-boot screen (or whatever it's called) either.

I have been playing around with it for the past couple of days, and am getting no where fast.

I have been using a logic probe to see what is going on, and so far, i have found that all data lines are either stuck high or low on the A2630, but dead on the A2000, same goes for the address lines.

The reset and halt lines are both held high on the A2630, so thats good, i believe.

The boot roms have been changed to a new set, but no difference.

One thing i did notice while checking the lines on the A2630, is that the _VMA and _VPA lines are both held high on the A2630. Is that right? Shouldn't they be pulsing (high/low)? Same goes for the _AS, _LDS, _UDS _DTACK lines, all held high.

Also the 3 FC lines are held high (except for FC1 held low).

Anyone have any experience wth these accelerators? Its starting to do my head in

Any help/ideas will be great appreciated.

Would like to get this going so i can have a faster...ish A2000

Just wondering what version of the ROMs you have on the accelerator. They need to be 6.6 or above to work with anything above WB 1.3.

I have v7 roms.

Currently running KS 3.1.4. Would that be an issue? Although did try KS 2.05 and it made no difference
