Software of the Month Club

Anybody remember this? I believe they featured Amiga, C64/128 and IBM software. I just found a cache of disks and have started to go thru them.

They usually came with 2 or 3 disks per shipment. I'm currently looking at volume 171 with the following apps:

Disk One: Amiga Guide and Med Music
Disk Two: AGMSFixText, Installer v1.24 and MagicWB
Disk Three: Artillerus 2, Clipart and more Med Music

I love the add at the bottom of the folded single sheet:

Disk Blowout!

3.5" DS/DD, 27 cents each for lots of 100 or 29 cents each for lots of 50. Oh hey, labels cost extra

Yeah, I have a bunch of those. Most are in CA, but several I have here, as well. I saved the info sheets that came with them, too. One of these days, I will need to dump that stuff.

Well I was sort of in the process of doing this, but I figured that perhaps somebody else would want them instead. Mostly it seems this collection is PD/Shareware/Demo stuff. To me it was more of getting a taste of the apps/games/utils and such without having to d/l them from you local or long distance BBS.

Damn, but my old Supra 2400z really worked like a champ so I didn't subscribe to this collection very long

Well, there was actually a good deal of games and programs from that series that I wasn't finding on the BBS's (and I called a ridiculous amount of boards back then, so I was getting most everything).

BTW: I had one of those Supras, too. Worked it to its death! Then bought a 9600 USR Courier HST to fulfill my need for more speed and more files.
