EAB/Lemon Super League 2017: Round 6 Game Vote

EAB/Lemon Super League 2017: Round 6 Game Vote (Special Round - Games released in 1993)
Starts: 00:01 April 9 Finishes: 23:59 April 22

Rules

Full rules are here.

Vote for five games.

Your first choice gets 5 points, second 4 pts, third 3 pts, fourth 2 pts, fifth 1 pt.

This is the vote for the second special round of the season. When voting you can only choose games that were first released in 1993 as chosen by john4p. The two games with the most votes will be played. If you are in doubt about a game's status, ask in the thread before you vote, or contact a Moderator. It will be sorted out before the end of voting.

Remember to choose games suitable for competition play. Edited votes will be discounted (unless told otherwise) so think before you post. Please only vote on one board - either EAB or Lemon.

If a game comes in ECS and AGA versions, please state your preference in your vote. In the event the versions differ gameplay-wise, the version with most votes will be played. ECS is the default if you don't specify.

The winner of Round 5 will have their vote doubled for Round 6 (i.e. 1st place = 10 pts, 2nd = 8 pts etc).

Tactical or nosey voters can see the Lemon voting thread here.

For easy reference these '93 games are not eligible for voting:
The Chaos Engine, Disposable Hero, Goal!, Stardust, Superfrog, Turrican 3, Walker, Yo! Joe!, edit: Dune II

Still a lot of great games to choose from.

Here's my vote:

1. Lionheart
2. Cannon Fodder
3. Prime Mover
4. Fly Harder
5. Traps 'n' Treasures

Good idea for a reference - I ought to work on making those games that aren't eligible easier to spot for these types of rounds in the future.

I think Pinball Fantasies and James Pond 2 don't count as "1993 (first release) games", but missed Dune II - thanks.

Bump. Now into the second week of voting. Plenty of choices for this round so it's well worth getting those votes in.

Unfortunately both Fury Of The Furries and The Lost Vikings aren't games we can score so will need to be changed.

Ok, I'll replace them with these two:

Donk! - The Samurai Duck!
Seek And Destroy

So now my list is as follows:

1. Arabian Nights
2. Donk! - The Samurai Duck!
3. Seek And Destroy
4. F17 Challenge
5. Chuck Rock II: Son Of Chuck

Sorry... but Donk isn't suitable either, its score is really only for show as you can play every level as often as you like and you can continue as often as you want (I believe) and no way of grabbing your score at the end.

Just a reminder to all that this is the final day of voting for Round 6. Remember that we play two games in the next round, so there's still very much all to play for - therefore don't forget to vote!

And when you've done that, please don't forget to check out the Mystery Round Nominations thread. We really need more in.

Voting is now over and this perhaps a bit of a surprise.

1. Lionheart - 20
2. Tetris Pro - 16
3. Overkill - 14
4. Global Gladiators - 13
5. Arabian Nights - 12

Total votes: 12 - Total games voted for: 28

So Lionheart is guaranteed to be played in the next round, however any one of the next four could also make it through. Tetris Pro is surprisingly in pole position but any of the others can still make it if we have a change of leader in the current round.

Now that this is over, I trust some of you will be heading over to the Nominations thread to prompt you to contribute towards the Mystery Round. Please.

In what is a bit of a rarity, the winner didn't submit a vote, so Tetris Pro surprisingly takes the second spot for Round 6. Coming soon...
