If you're referring to WHDLoad then use:
"WHDLoad slavename.slave PRELOAD" and don't forget to assign the L: directory or wherever your WHDLoad-key resides |

that script to run SWOS seems fine
btw, the reboot-start package works very fine the problem is the file "getpath" supplied on the last aminet version is corrupted or something like that if you need the file getpath I can upload it to the zone |

I might be doing this totaly wrong, I'm trying to get SWOS running from the hard-drive without the WB being loaded.
I see in some scripts it uses the getpath, but it's not used in the example. BTW. I can't get into the zone Last edited by prowler; 11 January 2012 at 00:01. Reason: Back-to-back posts merged. |

Same version, but I used WHDLoad on the genuine disks. I have the cracked copy now and it's working in WinUAE, so I'll try it on my A1200 now

Sorry, you lost me
On the WHDLoad site it says all the SWOS (without preload) only need 2MB chip RAM, but I'm trying to get a non-WHDLoad version working. |

IIRC getpath just creates a text file in Ram with your current path
You can do the same with the CD command |

You should get a ram expansion instead of trying to start without S-S, rebootscript, and so on. Soon or later you want to start/play a game/demo/... that needs fast ram. Don`t waste your time.
