FOFT - what is on the box cover?
I always wanted to know what exactly should the cover illustration on the box of Federation of free traders show. It is hell confusing!

For me that is probably a ship leaving a Space Station (in the shape of a tube, as I dont know a better English word for it) drawn in a very freestyle/creative/artistic way. The buckled lazer shot emphasizes the unconventional style. Thats my reading, but you are right, it's a bit like talking about modern art
PS: Reminds me of Elite Dangerous - which is quite nice and interesting. |

So what do the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4 and letters C & S represent?

1,2,3,4 I would read as just labels to the docking bays of the station.
There is also the text 47-42-N. Maybe its just bogus, maybe its an easteregg from the artist, or his geo-coordinates (okay, one half of the coordinates)? https://www.mobygames.com/images/cov...ront-cover.jpg This picture lets you zoom in more easily (ctrl+ in browser). PS: Fun fact - my nearby town is at 47.42 degree north =P |
