1084S, VGA + scandoubler or LCD-TV?
I have to connect my A1200 to a PC monitor: which is the best solution? Which gives the better results: a LCD-TV connected by SCART (or by the yellow video cable) or a VGA monitor connected by a scandoubler?
In the first case: which monitor will be closer, as results, to the 1084S? In the second case: which is the best scandoubler (internal or external)? I have the 1084S also but I'd like to make some place on the desk without loosing quality. Is it possible? |

VGA monitor + scandoubler will give you a better picture..
1) neither is very close, vga is scandoubled (no scanlines) and will flicker a lot thanks to the VGA tube's phosphor being faster than the 1084s, TFT will never look like CRT, the picture is noisier and blurrier. 2) internal I used to hate the blurred look of TFTs.. Now I use them exclusively and have a huge pile of PAL/220v 1084s waiting to find new homes. Last edited by Jope; 16 November 2007 at 10:53. Reason: Arkadtorget discussion moved to OT - General |
