I take it other people have managed to get a voodoo 3000 on a Grex/BPPC version 2/OS3.9 working ok? cuz it's doing me head in!
I can get it show something, but the colours are all wrong, and I can't choose any suitable setting for the card in Screen mode, I'll try and report back with more details, but I'd though I'd ask first just in case it's known to be impossible/dead easy/dead easy but you have to change a setting someplace, and if I'd HAVE READ THE MANUAL I'd already know about it. |

it is easy to use a voodoo3 on the grex... do you use CGX4 ? also a fan on the voodoo3 helps A LOT, they overheat nad display garbage (had some pc's do that on agp versions of voodoo3 , on my amiga the voodoo3 was always with a fan)
also if you don't install cgx then the voodoo will just show a 4color copy of the amiga native gfx, maybe is this what u see? |

Yeah, that's it! And it's not even the right 4 colours!!
I've installed it off the floppy that came with the REX, the fully Licesed CGX CD and the update (err.. an update for that, maybe it's not the right one?) and if I remove the library file I get that, if I keep it in, in the tool in err.. tools it's can't see the card, but you can in PCIscan. Oh, hang on, just tried it, and the system can't see the Voodoo card anywhere, now time to fiddle about a bit... |

Ya!
By the way, speaking as someone who'd got one, I think you're right about the PPC http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=18309 something like a 1200/30@50 in a wedge for games and something 68060 based for webbrowsing, but then you might as well run a, you know, Mac or something for that.. |

yeah... I had a 1200 back then. the 4000 stuff is more quality, but the main point is the same LOL
and I have found a way to have AUTO-switching between aga/voodoo3, you just need a multimedia&design monitor switch or the _untested_ eytech monitor switch amigakit sells... and a cgx4 patch and 0.5eur of simple compontents... |
