So here it ends.

In the last ditch effort last night I rang Bplan and spoke directly to Gerard Carda. Roughly 12 years ago all of the Blizzard information was sold or passed onto DCE Systems, who have allegedly 'thrown' it out, I did ask Gerard if he still had any old copies but he said everything that they had has long gone off the servers.

The bottom line is if your accelerator card goes belly up and it's not something obvious or replacable chances are you have lost your hard earned dollars.

I take my hat off to Stan and his work, whilst I never have the tools to do BGA nor the brevity, from the brief PMs we've had I have always been impressed by his knowledge and professionalism.

So now we are just a rag-tag bunch of amateurs that the big boys forgot to invite to the party, I always find it a shame that the big boys forgot they were once not so big.

Sad to hear that. We really need a new PPC accelerator....

It would be awesome if we could put together a bounty to encourage those remaining companies (ACube/E3B/AmigaKit/Individual Computers) to start such a project.

There is a Poll on http://www.amigaworld.net on the main page, I would encourage any interested users to fill it out. It asks if you would buy a new PPC accelerator for classic, if one were available for a reasonable price.
