CLI help

I am learning to use the CLI. I Have formatted a HDF file for the purpose of creating scripts and programs using only the CLI. I had made a c directory on the HDF. and tried copying all c files to the HDF but forgot to set the destination to HDF c directory. so I tried to delete all files and start again, I typed:

delete dh0: all

I get a message: dh0: is a device and cannot be deleted

Can u help pls

Edit: I am using WinUAE not a real Amga.
