Lightbulb Switch Quiz

I noticed there is (almost) no info available about Switchquiz http://hol.abime.net/?id=2239. At the moment I have a full 2-page review of this game in CU Amiga at home.

Do you prefer some pictures, the whole review, or nothing?

The whole review would be good.

I'm still looking for this game, if anyone has it.

If I remember correctly the game came on 1 disk, a control panel device and two switch-sticks. I don't know whether the game is runable without these hardware devices. The graphics looked horrible.
Oh well, watch out for the complete review within the next couple of days...

Post Switch quiz review in The Zone

I have uploaded the two-page review in The Zone. It was originally published in CU Amiga, April 1994.

I hope the quality of the scan is acceptable.
I always have big trouble scanning in pages from the new-style CU Amiga. The pages are a bit larger than A4-format and a real pain to scan in.

I wrote Switchquiz

Hi, I have just bought an old Amiga A600 for nostalgic purposes and thought I'd search around the net for old games etc. I then thought about if anyone had any posts about SwitchQuiz ... the game I wrote for Switchsoft when I was a student, I thought it was a bit of fun not realising that it would make national magazines etc.! I came across your post and thought "wow it can't of disappeared then". I have all the original disks, hardware and most of the original magazine reviews etc. tucked away in a cupboard. As an original die hard Amiga fan if you need anything let me know.

Gary.

How can I get the disks converted to ADF format ? I've got a PC, are there any utilities for converting the disks to ADF format using the PC floppy drive, I know that the Amiga floppy disk sectors are read differently to that of a PC ?

The best way would be to use one of the many amiga apps (transdisk etc) on a real amiga and lha or LZX it up

Then format a 720kb disk (on amiga side) and copy the files onto it then onto your pc

Roll eyes (sarcastic)

Gary K. seems to have disappeared again.

And worse, he doesn't allow e-mails sent to him, so I cannot remind him to come back here. Damn!
Looks the only chance to get this game back to light of day again has gone down the drain.

Hey, hi, hello ........... First apologies, a long time gone I know but I'm back and just resurrected my A600 and SwitchQuiz - don't fall off your chair. I've just moved house and found the original source code disks, games, controllers needed for SwitchQuiz (2 and 4 player) and then remembered you guys.

I've just taken some videos and photos of the game which I'll share.

Big shout out to you keeping the Amiga legend going :-)
