Some information:
I have not forgotten about Pole Position...
At least something is happening now. But currently I can't provide any information for good reason

Thumbs up

The crucial thing is that there *IS* something happening.

Who would ever have thought this!?

Probably nobody as previous similar projects have been unsuccessful or repose.

This time I won't go public with info. My new motto:

Why that ? Just because some guy may misinterpret those pictures ? It's just a joke.

Well, it would be interesting for me to know how sensitive people (other than german ones) react on such kind of stuff (things like that propaganda campaign "Feind hört mit!" at WWII).

Once I was in IRC #emuchina channel while soccer world cup was going on and in the results (listed as topic) the word "Germany" was replaced by "Nazis". Some people of GAEB told me that some people (not german) understand such things as jokes. Well, I didn't as I'm strictly no Nazi.

I'd like to know if you let history just be history or if the word "Germany" always leaves a bad taste in your mind... just for my interest as we did learn a lot about WWII in school (yes, it's the MAIN topic over the whole school years) but never told about how people think about it NOW.

I learned all I know about Nazis and Germany from studying episodes of Hogan's Heroes...

I had some doubts when posting this propaganda poster... But I could not find anything questionable or forbidden on
that poster like political slogans, swastikas etc. so I decided to post it because somehow it fit to the context (of
course only ironically, as a joke).

I know that most Germans (not essential if they lived through WWII or not) supplant everything related to the Third Reich.
But imo it can't be a solution to extrude this kind of stuff. Why should I be careful with it? I am sure everybody here is
educated well enough not to draw wrong conclusions.

Unfortunately some folks continue to think negative about Germans in general. Especially the British yellow
press likes to compare England<->Germany football matches with war. I remember headlines "Surrender Krauts" with the
picture showing any WWII soldier in his uniform. But I believe a majority won't take it too seriously as I am
confident that this poster was not misconstrued.

Hmm, whatever happened to the "no posting off-topic pics in normal sections" rule anyway

It had no meaning back in 2003, so why bother now?

Been AWOL for the last few days, just notice both new posts and deleted as they add nothing of significance at all to the thread beside digging for the sake of digging...

It's not just the fact that your post is totally Off Topic but also a Banned Topic...

Don't really care that members got away with it in 2003. That was then, this is now
