I'll wait until I have a 1080p (full HD) TV or Beamer before I buy the PS3.

Still I have a PSP and currently enjoy Crisis Core (but mostly play emulators on it).
Well i do want to upgrade my PC's video card to run some newer games, but financially my priorities need to sit elsewhere right now, like paying off my $24,000 loan which is mostly a study loan. ... not good having that hanging over your head, but i am VERY happy with my Amiga and always have been.

About the best thing i think of for having a proper spec PC though is to have a link up via a network for a 2 player action when a friend comes over. Went to a friends house about 3 weeks ago and we link up his notebook and his billion $$$ PC .. lol... to play.. oh shit what was it called again?.. i have forgotten now.. lol... will think of the name later

Oh yeah blade, make a score above 2 million! I would love to see that (and I will make a poster and hang it over my bed ).
As for X-Out : I really hope it gets voted! Haven't played it for a while, but I think I'm still not bad at it. Would really be fun to play it under competition pressure

WHDLoad slave for Turrican is buggy (at least on my configuration). When there are too many bullets on the screen, the game quits with Access Fault. It is similar to Alien Breed 2 slave bug in which you could not use rebounders because when there were too many of them the game quitted. It is very difficult for me to play it...

Then don't use WHDLoad.... the load times are short.

If I remember rightly mailman has a PPC card and stuff like that so playing it from floppy is not an option

Graham i s right. But still, I will be trying not to fire so much and maybe I will manage to go ahead (once I reached the second world).

Good luck mailman! It's a shame the WHDLoad version isn't flawless So you always have to think about how you play and you never know if the game crashes anyway. I really hope you manage to reach the later level and do a great score

I shall do my best mate!, and i think it will be attainable if i play smart , and i really do hope that X-Out does get voted as well because that game really is quite a challenge and it has things that other shootem-ups normally don't that really does up the competition pressure as you inferred, plus it has music by Huelsbeck

And i haven't played it in quite a while either ( at least not properly )

If you consider playing Turrican torture, then you were obviously a tortured man "before" you started playing it

The man needs medication i say!!!!

Because you emulate some slower processor.

Probably (actually I emulate a 68040 processor with AGA and full collision detection, but without JIT - because that mostly ruins ECS-games).

Umm...did you try the WHDLoad-version of the CDTV release? Maybe that one works better for you?

edit: Just saw Killergorilla only released a CDTV-version of Turrican II, but not I.
Well, then I suggest you also use WinUAE or E-UAE to play this game.

A little better but that horrible boss at the end of 2-2 still defeats me.

Well a couple of problems this time round. first off, i stuffed up by accidentally leaving the 2nd Alien level within about 2 minutes after arriving in it, which meant a whole level full of points completely lost and my Uncle has come across from Perth to see me and he came home last night really drunk and was trying to talk to me while i was playing the last world .. Although i did manage to finish with 44 lives left over

So if i find time today i will try again.... Here is my score for the time being though

@CyberDruid: I will get back to you about your music post soon mate.. ive actually hardly been on the net the last few days... too caught up
