Christ I'm dumb. Yes I completed it the first two times. That's because I wasn't using the Esprit the first two times... |

All set to overtake John4p, then I mess up the last track in every conceivable way and fail to complete the 4th lap, falling just short of John's total.

Ouch, that was close. I think one Yee-Haw! made the difference in the end.

I had quite a few attempts this morning but I didn't come close at all, barely scrapping 7m on the times I did finish it. After a break I decided to have one more go. I abandoned manual gears and went for automatic instead. I don't know if that made a difference, but everything lined up for me this time, in 15+ attempts I didn't get a single yee-haw but this time when I didn't even need one, I got it anyway.

In the beginning this round looked like a failure with only Harry and I competing. But after a week participation picked up and in the end 10 people submitted a score which is quite good for a bonus round.
Minutes before the end capehorn finally beat me and is the official EAB&Lemon Summer Slam 2019 Champion! malko gets a well deserved bronze medal - beating out Lotus veteran Harry! @capehorn: Please choose the game for the next Summer Slam: Either Lotus III again with different tracks (Lotus I-style for positions or Lotus II-style again?) or a completely different game! Btw., in Horizon Chase Turbo you also race Lotus I-style against 19 other cars on 109 courses with music composed by Barry Leitch (who also created the Lotus II music). If you have a PS Plus subscription the game is free for PS4 in July. Haven't had an active subscription in over a year but for this I'll reactivate it. |

You can decide until May 31st 2020. That'll give us enough time to thoroughly prepare the tracks (or the rules for the completely different game).

Thanks Malko.
I'd be happy to throw nexts year's game open to a vote. I'd be perfectly happy playing Lotus III again but maybe others would like something different. At the very least, I am open to suggestions. What would we like to play? |

Were are planning on doing this again this year? I think it is slightly sad that the Superleague seems to be going exclusively to Lemon after the next round (although it is understandable), but if it does then reviving this summer competition might be a nice final hurrah.
It seems that I am allowed to vote for a game for us to play. I'd be ok doing Lotus III again, is that ok with other players, or would we like to see something different? Last edited by capehorn; 22 May 2020 at 22:30. |

Tracks are done. We'll race Lotus 1-style for positions this time (instead of against the clock), but play on (mostly short) Lotus 2-style A-to-B-routes.
The four Lotus 3-track types that we didn't play last year are included this time: Future, Mountain, Mud and Roadworks. Wind makes a pause this year. The Summer Slam II begins on Sunday, June 7th at 00:01 UK time. |
