Aminet 7 is complete!

This is a good way of keeping my connection alive. I haven't lost it at all this evening!

Aminet 11 will be next.

Okay, Aminet 11 is on its way up!

It took me three attempts to get a live internet connection this evening, but I have about a 33% increase in upload speed tonight!

It sure is.

I've just found some corrosion behind one of the headlamps in my car two days before the MOT test! I started repairing it with GRP this evening, but it's looking like an all night job.

There is some good news: I'll have time to upload both Aminet 11 and Aminet Games while I'm waiting for the hardener to do its job!

Tomorrow, I've just got to dedust the rear brake drums and it'll be ready!

Still problems maybe the line resync problem. After major upgrades the wholesale servers readjust your line for best performance. Call the isp i think is the only way to reinitiate this again. It think i can take two weeks or less i read, someone here know exact duration for this ?

Hi exoticaga,

That doesn't apply in my case. I don't have a 'line' as such, because my broadband is mobile (as you well know ).

Nice one prowler - so that means that every single Aminet release is now on the server?

If so, I think is amazing - it takes the status of the server up a level.

Yes. Strictly speaking, Aminet Set 10 can be deleted, as it is simply a repackaged version of Aminet CDs 36-39.

There was also an Aminet Set 11, which, again, is identical to Aminet CDs 40-43.

I agree. Two years ago, when I joined EAB, I could not have imagined that we would amass this huge collection of files in such a short time!

I did think it applied to all connections, more to new ones and major upgrades adsl to adsl+2 etc. Good to hear your connection is immune from this, often read many people having problems with it.

If you have an eBay account, try sending Airey36 a message - he has lots of them and I completed my collection by doing just that. He sold me the few I wanted as a job lot and they were surprisingly cheap too (transaction completed outside of eBay).

PS. The one you want is Aminet 52 (December 2002).

Yes good call Prowler, I was going to suggest Tony - you have to email him via ebay and you do have to persevere with him a bit as he is just so busy at the moment but if anyone has this he will. Steve and I were only discussing the other day just how long Tony has been selling Amiga bits - he has been around since Amibench days and has always been a fair and really helpful seller. If you want DDNI, I can give him a shout for you... send me a pm with the details of the disk if you like.

is there a complete index of those aminet-CDs and aminet-SETs? i found some on aminet itself (AminetCD1-35.lha, ... Aminet-Set-6.lha) - not complete since on ftp site there is #52. does a complete file-list exists?

AminetCD 1-52 and AminetSet 1-6. thats the whole thing?
there is CDC_AminetSets.lha and CDCatAmiN01-38.lha on aminet for a database program. i test them.

Edit: no tmidi.lha on these index files. so i give up with aminet :/

thanks for the hint. i recall someone, somwhere here mentioned this index file before, but i forgot.
the trouble is, the index on #52 listing the current files when they released #52. i still have a bit of hope that there is the missing file i'm looking for on the older CDs. there was once "mus/midi/tmidi.lha": dreamland points to an aminet folder with tmidi.lha - but this seems gone ...

Hi Emufan,

I have the complete set of Aminet CDs. I'll see if I can find that file for you in the next few days.
