Hi!

I am wondering if any of these games even came out on amiga and if so, if they could be upped to some ftp or mailed over to me ? I know it is a long shot but anyway, here it goes :

- Enduro Racer was this released on miga?
- Frogger II with zillions levels, released?
- Hardcore from Digital Illusions
- Labyrinth (from the David Bowie Movie)
- Living Daylights released on Amiga ?
- Logo the logical game, not the lang.
- RamRod ever released (saw in mag.)
- Road Runner ever released on Amiga ?

- Sanxion only saw a demo of it.

Sad news about Ram Rod: It's programmer, Kevin Bulmer (of Rise of the Robots, Legends of Valour -fame) canned the production of this isometric game in June 1991. I do not know the reason. Possibly he was too busy finishing Terminator 2 - the Movie.
I found this information in the July 1991 issue of CU Amiga.

I'm assuming you mean commercial releases here, because it's always possible that someone wrote a SEUCK game or something and called it Road Runner or Top Gun.

Uhh, I was hoping it was released for amiga, I saw in one mag an ad that had prices on it and there was a price for amiga version of the game !

It was supposed to be commercial.... it had scrolling and very nice graphics, and levels were always randomly generated...

Well, I don't think it became benefactor, since I saw an intro screen with 4 games that were supposed to come out and both were on there

Had to program this crap myself in secondary school, it was boring as hell...

The only (commercial) Amiga game with this name that I am aware of has nothing to do with the Bowie flick. It's a 2-player, German game that is kind of a puzzle/maze game with a spacey look and feel.

This was scheduled for a 1994 release from Psygnosis, but I believe it was shelved along with other Digital Illusions product. I thought there was a coverdisk demo, however.

Well, I tought it might be since there is a ST version, but then again, there were many 8bit versions of games for the ST which never saw the light of the day on ami

Since we are on this topic I have also some questions. Does anyone know whether these games are released on Amiga or what happened to it?

- American Gladiators (?? 1993): Ugly looking beat' em-up. Saw once an advert of this game.
- Fatal Strokes (ICE 1992): I saw a preview of this game in Amiga Format? Has it ever been released and is it any good?
- Tyger Tyger (Firebird 1989): Saw some adverts of this game in Zzap! What happened to it?
- Troll Island (Millenium 1994): a sequel of the original Trolls was previewed in CU Amiga magazine.
- Mr Magoo (Millenium 1994): in the same article there was some rumour about this good-looking game.
- Sahara (Software 2000): A German textadventure similar to Hexuma and Jonathan.
- Bloodnet (Microprose 1995): A point-n-click adventure.
- Impulse (??,1993): A horizontal scrolling shmup looking very similar to Disposable Hero. Maybe it is the working title.
- Raiden (??,1994): Vertical shmup that was previewed in CU Amiga.
- No Buddies Land (Loriciels, 1992): A 'cute' platformgame.
- Ork (??, 1993): a horizontal scrolling platformgame/ shmup starring a little dragon.
- Son Shu Si (Loriciels 1992): Lovely 'Japanese' looking platform game which got a review in Amiga Joker.
- Watchtower (??, 1995): A Chaos Engine/ Commando wannabe. Once read a review about it but don't know it it is released.
- Turrican 3 CD32: Did the CD32 have a Turrican 3 threat?
- Erik (Atlantis, 1992): A platformgame- budget title once reviewed by Amiga Format.
- Superhero (Psygnosis, 1993): Platform game starring a female heroine. This game had lots of previews.
- Jack the Ripper (??, 1994): a PC conversion of a whodunnit.
- Moonchild (Team Hoi, 1995): The 'inofficial' sequel to the classic Hoi. I know it is released on PC but are not sure about the Amiga version.

Wow, now that is a quick reply. I still don't collect Amiga games (yet!) but since it is 'pakjesavond' tonight in The Netherlands (Dutch habit for giving each other presents under a christmas tree) you can upload them all in The Zone if you like.

Seeing Microprose producing an adventure game for Amiga does not really surprise me. Back in 1994-1995 they somehow left their simulation-roots producing all types of games like War in the Skies, Impossible Mission 2025 and Bloodnet of course. By the way, is this adventure any good?

About Ork: I didn't refer to the famous Psygnosis version. When I come to think about it, the game is called Orc, Orc run or something similar. The graphics look very similar to those of Shadow of the Beast: Multilayer parallax scrolling and large sprites. I have a picture of it in Amiga Joker magazine. I'll scan it for you when I have my new PC. -very soon.

Bloodnet is a good game - I've played through some of it. Amiga Power said:

I have read a review of Loriciel’s No Buddies Land too in the August/ September 1992 issue of Amiga Joker. The hero in this game looks very similar to the one in Twinworld. By the way, in the same AJ issue a review of Son Shu Si can be found. This is the other rare Loriciels game which I have never seen on my Amiga screen.
The only information I have about Jack the Ripper is in the June 1994 issue of CU Amiga. They said the release date would be September 1994.

Jack The Ripper was also previewed in issue 31, page 25 of Amiga Power. Another unreleased casualty.

I have posted a demo for Jack The Ripper. I thought it was the full game, based upon the TOSEC name, but upon playing, the About screen reveals that it is just a demo. Still worth a look. Very likely this game was never completed. This is unfortunate.
