John, I edited my vote to make it clearer and remove Wolfchild. I thought the AGA bit would make it clear it was the European Tour.
I've replaced Wolfchild with PGA Tour Golf, I also fancy four weeks of golf. It must be my age; I never found golf games an attractive proposition until I got near 40... |

In 2010 my wife went away with the kids for a long weekend but I had to stay at home for work and to lay a laminate floor in the living room. I wasn't into golf AT ALL, but the period fell over the 2010 Masters session. I opened a bottle of Gin on the Thursday night and for some reason watched the late Masters session. The same again on the Friday night. By the cut I was hooked!

Well, I'd definitely need liquor to watch Golf on TV, too.
I think I got interested again when I maxed out the strength stat of my GTA Online character by playing Golf a few months ago. That reminded me of playing PGA Tour Golf on Amiga 500 in 1992. |

When I was a teenager I used to watch golf on hungover mornings. It has that soothing hypnotic pace, a bit like snooker. Hours can fly by. Might have to watch Tin Cup again now. Or Happy Gilmore, lol.

For me that was Formula One. Tuned in to the start, then by the first commercial break I was dozed off already. Only woke up occasionally due to the loud Krombacher beer adverts.

I was going to vote for a racing game as we haven't had one for a while. Or perhaps a game we've played before as we've had so many new ones in the competition recently. But in the end I settled on this...
1. PGA European Tour 2. Datastorm 3. Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker 4. Arkanoid: Revenge Of Doh 5. Seek and Destroy |

Yes a racing game would've been a nice change of pace, but you can't have everything.
Voting's over - here are the results: 1. Rainbow Islands - 23 pts 2. PGA European Tour - 20 pts 3. Z-Out - 17 pts 4. Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker - 16 pts Looks like it's Bubble Bobble II. It's not final yet though: should Biscuit, Graham, LinesMachine or I win F1GP we'd play Golf after all... Last edited by john4p; 01 April 2018 at 01:44. |

Final results after adding steef-online's double voting power:
1. Rainbow Islands - 23 pts 2. Jimmy White's Whirlwind Snooker - 21 pts* 3. PGA European Tour - 20 pts 4. Z-Out - 17 pts Up until two hours before this round's end it looked like we were going to play Golf but now Rainbow Islands it is after all! |
