Nice article, although few detail fuck-ups stick out like a sore thumb to an old C64-veteran such as myself..

Not a bad read although sometimes it's easy to get memory (correct or not) mixed up with the facts. BTW I hadn't heard of the C128D being called the 'Diesel'? Maybe not in Australia?

I have learned something today, I can always count on EAB to give me just one more bit of info to cram into my brain. Soon I will forget how to type, walk and go to the toilet...

Yea, love those C64's. I currently have 2 of the breadbox originals with matching 1541's and a C64c with matching 1541. Mostly I use my C128 with 1571 drives. I snagged a 2nd 1571 a few weeks back along with a 128K RAM expansion I will upgrade to 512K soon. If I had a C128 mouse I would run GEOS 128 2.0 for fun. And I have 2 1802 Monitors, plus a magnavox profesional for the 128 40/80 column mode.
