Deneb and usb ethernet

Hello,
Not sure that this should be under hardware or software but can someone please tell me where i can get a suitable .device driver to use under genesis for a usb ethernet dongle?
the booklet that comes with it is a little sparse and the webpage is no better.

any help would be apprieciated.

regards,
joe

Use Trident (the GUI) you can see the SANA-II device is created in memory by the appropriate class for your device.

pegasus.class-> usbpegasus.device
asixeth.class-> usbasixeth.device
moschipeth.class -> moschipeth.device
dm9601eth.class -> dm9601eth.device

You just specify the appropriate SANA-II driver name and unit number of the device in Genesis prefs

It is entirely possible that i am misunderstanding something here but when i plug in my ethernet dongle it is recognised as ax88772 chipset. OK all good so far what i need to do now is get the genesis tcpip stack running and to do that it requires a sana-II driver. It is at this point that i am a bit lost TBH.
if a driver is loaded by the poseidon stack then i need to know where it is to point genesis to it.

Maybe i am missing the obvious.

The driver is generated in memory, it is not saved to disk as a file. So you cannot "point Genesis to" the file, you have to enter the name into the text field manually.

hmm i have tried to use usbasixeth.device which trident reports and it seems to work ok. Genesis will not auto setup but i can hand enter the required info.
when i put genesis online though it gives the warning S2_CONFIGUREINTERFACE: innapropriate state
then says interface online

cant assess the net though

Which version Poseidon are you using? You need at least v4.3 to use Genesis.

What Deneb firmware are you using? V9?
