Suggestion for platform game by Richard Löwenstein

So, instead of going offtopic on his Reshoot R thread, I just opened up a new thread, based on his hint that he loves platform games.

http://eab.abime.net/showpost.php?p=...&postcount=197

I had completely forgotten the horizontal platform!

And personally I would like to see a game that would inspire competativeness between reallife friends.

Take Wonderboy in Monsterland.

It had Score and a Dollbonus to encourage you to both speed thru it, but collect dolls to boost the score.
Each level are quite short, so IF you get really good at it, your friend sitting next to you dont have to wait for long
before he/she can give it a shot.
Encourages laughter and rage at the same time.

Same with Mario on Nintendo many years ago. Once you had gotten access to a level, you could run it over and over again,
and some of them where superquick to do, and encouraged competativeness. A balance between picking up boosts and items
in addition to just finding the best timings and routes/jumps.

A couple of the levels even my computergame hating cousin of mine had alot of fun with. They had no barrier timings where you
had to STOP and wait before you could move. You just kept going as fast as possible and each round took 10-20 second depending
on how good you got.
Having a few levels like this, that you can access when you want once you had opened access to them would be great.

Modern games such as Super Meat Boy can certainly serve that purpose.

I´d surely love to code and design a platform game, and basing it on the RESHOOT R engine, it might look kind of nice too.

If anyone is interested to collaborate in terms of ideas, visuals and sound, please feel free to PN me!
