Hooooo BlizKick & MAPROM

Hi, this is my first post in EAB, so sorry if i do something wrong.
My problem is following:
With a BPPC card in OS 3.1 environment i want to use BlizKick but i have two doubts about it:

1) If my ROM is 40.68 (A1200) is worth of to rekick the ROM with Blizkick?
2) To use BlizKick i must put MAPROM option in early-startup ON or OFF ?

I read several times the manual but the doubt is still there

P.S. Has someone a doc or something like this to fully understand how to set options in early-startup ?

Thanks in advance...
Maurizio

Buy using the MAPROM feature you will increase the overall speed of your system by a small amount. (FAST RAM is many times faster than ROM).

BlizKick can help you make several parts of the OS3.9 ROMUPDATES resident so that it speeds up the time it takes to boot following a reset.

BlizKick uses the same functionality as MAPROM. So you have to switch MAPROM off. Blizkick will not work if MAPROM is on, because then the ROM is already mapped by the firmware.

Get the latest flash ROM update (for example from powerup.amigaworld.de). The contained flashbios.doc has a short description of each option.

There's a version checking program on powerup.amigaworld.de, though it gave me strange results (version 0 after I'd done the upgrade to latest version available on website).

you could try version ppc.library and see where that version appears in the firmware history in the flash download file. I can say for sure that if you see a PCI option in the firmware menu its recent (well...last 5 years at least )
