winUAE cd32, small issues

hi all,

after my last post about speedball 2 cd32 needing to run in pal mode, i've set my winUAE cd32 emulation to always run in pal which has been running great! images that wouldn't load are now loading, thank you. here are a few small issues i'm hoping to get feedback on:

dangerous streets / wing commander image - wing commander runs at max speed. seems i need some throttling on it. anyone else having this problem?

speedball 2 - runs now but it only takes up the top half or so of the screen. i've tried other display options to scale up and take up my whole screen but i can't seem to get it to do so.

those are the two issues i'm trying to address now. i'll keep testing other images out.

thanks, tony

1. Not sure what you mean by "Full speed". Do you mean its running to fast?.

2. Try using a filter and resizing screen manually if autoscale dont work.

yeah, i mean it's way to fast, like the emulator is running it as fast as possible. i just find it weird that it's only doing it on wing commander. the other game on the image runs just fine.

i've tried filters but can't get it to take up the whole screen. i'm running it in an arcade cabinet so manually adjusting the screen is out.

was just curious if anyone had ironed out these issues?

Go to the 'CPU' panel, select 'Adjustable between CPU and chipset' and adjust the slider until it runs at the correct speed. Also ensure 'JIT' isn't ticked.

What happens if you select 'Null filter' -> 'Automatic resize' with a fullscreen mode?

Most Amiga games are synced to display refresh rate. (50/60Hz)

"Slow" games, like games with vector graphics (and similar) that originally didn't run at full 50/60fps usually don't have any limits and run as fast as possible. Slow CPU = slow, "too fast" CPU = too fast game

Modern game engines add extra frames instead of speeding up the gameplay but unfortunately it was rare in 1990s.

Whoops, I think you misunderstood what I ment.
I was talking within the emulator, not the TV / Monitor.

Anyways, glas you got it sorted.
