you mean the LOPT? its a HR7533(going by the service manual, which is a 1084s p1(its a philips monitor))
try donberg electronics. the serial code on the side of the old flyback will tell you the model replacement to get(equivalent part),if you dont know how to do this(its not obvious) i can tell you which one it is exactly by the serial number. Last edited by roy bates; 17 December 2014 at 11:02. |

no probs,glad to help
when you eventually change the LOPT,its a good idea to change the hot transistor as well and thermal grease behind it,it should be a BU508A(plastic case, metal cased part will short on the heatsink) or an equivalent. its a cheap part compared to the lopt and worth changing just some friendly advice. if you have no electrical knowledge or experience i would advise you get a service technician to install the lopt as its set to zero at the factory, and is a dangerous piece of kit to be messing with if you dont know what your doing due to the high voltage. above all,be safe its not worth your life.(set holds a charge when off for some after turn off it can around 24k volts) even if it is a fairly simple thing to do Last edited by roy bates; 17 December 2014 at 14:01. |

no,i mean the serial number on the lopt itself.not the monitor.
it most likely is a HR7533,but it is best to check. also,if you have a link to the place where your getting the lopt, that would be great. donberg do charge alot more than that for one |

Got a broken yoke as well, same kind as the one in your image (1084S-P2) turns out I had gotten oxidation under two of the three wedges (that holds it in the proper place when mounting it).
So there's a green mess on the yoke... :-( I guess it's easier and possibly cheaper to get a new monitor but... it would be nice if it was possible to fix it with a simple swap. |

Sorry for ressurecting this topic, but ive a 1084s-P1, with a bad flyback.
Ive bought a new old stock HR 7506, but ive noticed that it has a extra pin. Do ive to cut it out? or its just sitting there for stability and i dont need to make any change at all? thanks in advance, |

Where did you buy it from? I had one of these too, I just cut off the pin because there is no hole for it in the PCB, but there's still something else wrong with the monitor, so no idea if the flyback will work once I get around to swapping more parts :-)

Ive bought here in Portugal at a local shop, but it was the last unit of that reference. For what ive searched about the extra pin, ive found this info on another forum: Quote:
Can someone please confirm me this? the extra pin on the flyback, isnt connected to nothing? can i just leave it there? or do i need to cut that extra pin out, before soldering the new flyback into the monitor chassi? |

You will probably find that there is no hole for that pin on the chassis. :-)

You need to cut it in order to get the transformer in place.

For those in AUS looking for this part, try Wagner.
https://www.wagneronline.com.au/comm...066/998868/pd/ The only thing is both plasic clips didnt fit in the board (only 1 went in) and I had the remove the metal "C" clip at the back of the part to make it sit flush on the board. If you get it youll see what I mean. Just fixed an 1084sp-1 with their part, was sent and received quickly. Price seems quite reasonable, especially as its a local supplier (AUS). They also has the BU508A available. Ive just ordered another to repair my 2nd 1084s |
