Any MSN messenger users here ?

I want to try if Jabberwocky (jabber client with various "transports" including MSN) works, so if someone has a MSN account PM it to me, please.

Send a message via MSN to Bamiga2002
You can see if someone's using MSN when there's this icon below the username:

Might need to look for a Skype alternative as MSN is closing soon?

@lesta_smsc

<cough> I smell another hoax <cough>

Until it's officially been announced it's just rumors and/or myths created by the same people that told the world that Madonna exploded and died on her birthday

EDIT: The only evidence I can see: They're cutting back on their chatrooms, because of child safety, and that's about it.

Most people don't use MSN.

Other websites can say what they like, that's why I'll wait until it has officially been announced from the horses mouth

I'd say it's a tad more than gossip: "We've got good news to share! Skype and Messenger are coming together."
Source: http://blogs.skype.com/en/2012/11/skypewlm.html
Good news: EAB also has a slot for your Skype contact details

MSN was always awful has a program. Thank god for Trillian, Pidgin,etc, but was a good service till Gmail appeared.

I can only think good things about MS ditching MSN and adopting Skype, as long those idiotic features for kids and teenagers are kept off the Skype program and stay streamlined.

Just to add further 'evidence' - Skype did a mini update which now has log on via MSN account...

Same here . Messenger was nice in its early days but they always added more and more bloat to it and forced to upgrade to latest version = me no like. I'm happy there have been alternatives as xpect says.
