How to install DPaintV into workbench 3.X
I would like to have access to workbench while running DPaintV - I have read about installing adf based programs but no specific directions.
So when I run Workbench3.X I would like to have a DPaintV icon on the main bench. DPaintV has an install icon but I am not sure when to use it or where to use it from. Any information is welcome. Happy Holidays! The Amiga Forever front end already has PPaint but as a learning experience I would like to try DPaintV and have it similarly mounted. I also have an independent version of PPaint to run without Workbench. Last edited by Morbane; 27 December 2011 at 03:26. |

If you don't set up a hard drive in WinUAE you can't install it anywhere.

Would you mind elaborating for me, please?
I tried to make a Hard Drive but it didnt work - at least I cannot find it again to install DPaintV onto it. EDIT: Got it working - all I needed was that little prompt from Akira -> Thanks Akira. Last edited by Morbane; 27 December 2011 at 04:22. |

If you run the "3.X" configuration of Amiga Forever you already have a harddrive. Just insert the DPaint ADF into an emulated floppy drive, open it and double click the install icon. Then follow the on-screen instructions. Do not select Novice mode when asked for your skill.
Note that DPaint does not run well on a graphics card, so you might have some difficulties running it on the 3.X system. |

i tried that but it would not let me remove the disks - but i figured out that i wasnt installing it on the hd - once i got that right it was all good. i was trying to install it with the novice setting - that was no good at all.
it seems to run fine - i did some test loads of images and they all came out good. |
