PocketCHIP and UAE4ARM
As this is distinct from the raspberry Pi I thought it's worth starting its own thread.
I got Chips's latest (from github) UAE4ARM to build for the CHIP SBC and here it is running on pocketCHIP: https://vine.co/v/5bgIBeT3vbD but I only took a(n educated) stab in the dark at the compiler options to get it running its best. my best guess is: Code:
-march=armv7-a -mtune=cortex-a8 -mfpu=vfpv3 HAVE_NEON = 1 from the documentation I've found that the R8 CPU (really an Allwinner A13) has NEON but its FPU is vfpv3 and I can't find a -mfpu option which ties NEON and vfpv3 up or have i got the wrong end of the stick here and what i've selected is the best option? or do i just go for neon-vfpv4? for comparison, the general performance of this SOC is about the same as an overclocked RPi 1 (but ArmV7 instead of 6) so in theory it should handle UAE4ARM better than a Pi my quick test with turrican 2 is that it plays very smoothly but sound crackles occasionally. |
