CD32 startup

Hi, I made a test with an (emulated) CD32.

The CD32-documentation claims that I have to open (and close) the freeanim.library to stop the cd32-loading-animation, but somehow this does not work as expected.

So what's this animation? Is it this one? (see attachment)

The "CD" spins a bit and then I see amiga shell with the output of my test program. But I see my test-output even before I open the freeanim.library...

Why?

speculations:
- my test-program has 350k, so it might take a moment to load?
- I did not run "setpatch" - the only program in the startup-sequence is "test"
- the emulation is not correct?

any hints?

You could use freeanim command before lunching your test program to close the animation nicely(spinning "CD" will kick "32tm" out and slide to the left erasing Amiga logo). Many things that display something can stop the animation but it will just disappear.
With cd32.tm you don't have to use setpach.

@cylon: yes, that's the document I was refering to...

@cobe: You're right, if I open the freeanim.lib, then the CD logo fades out to the left. Otherwise the animation is just aborted. Now it makes sense to me.

Merci!

this CD32-test wasn't related to Powerglove, sorry.
Anyway, how to you want to create cdxl's? Are you a ... comic designer?

Nooo... Boxed CD would look so nice....
Unfortunately I'm not, I was thinking only about converting, I thought you had some fancy trailer but I suppose I only recall some fancy cover for C64...
