So what's wrong with that install? Why the need for a WHDLoad install? I'm not having a pop at you I'm just curious.

It's very very unfriendly. There's a few threads on the subject of the HD Installer and it's also discussed at the beginning of this thread.
This has been promised for what 7? 8? years, I'm not giving up hope, especially now I've got WHDLoads working tremendously on my Xbox 1. |

Have you tried the Fairlight Install with the CM2_fixed loader from Stingray?
I have just used this version and it works fine, no problems. Do the Installers/loaders that don't use WHDLoad work on the XBox? Edit: If anyone would like the Insatalled game complete with icon, let me know and i'll put it in the zone. The icon was made on OS3.9 so will look like tool icon in WB3. Not sure, but a hell of a lot faster than floppy.
I,ve attached it to this post...... EDIt: You need 4mb fast ram to run it. Edit2: Updated the Icon for corrected select image Last edited by Arnie; 02 March 2012 at 18:12. |

Shame, I use WinUAE myself, will try advancing a week and see if it crashes.
Edit: Just played 4 matches over 2 weeks and everything works ok. Default A1200 2mb chip, 4mb fast, WB3.1. Last edited by Arnie; 10 January 2011 at 11:19. |

News to me, it worked fine, but the game is exceptionally buggy, as i've found out doing the WHDLoad install.
And I know people that have completed entire seasons with my install as well. |

I have a ACA1230 accelerator in my 1200, so have 64mb fast ram but my goodness what a slow game. I wonder whether something is not right with my setup - will have another go tonight. |

CM2 is slow because it only runs its code from chip ram and doesn't use Fast ram properly.

Hey Galahad. I Wonder why the game is working as slow as on stock A1200 on 060, while when I play it on WinUAE it is working considerably faster and is actually playable ?
If there is no speed up on 060/75 compared to 020/14 then logically there should be no speed up on WinUAE, right ? |
