I'm not sure this was actually ever developed, i think those screenshots are just some mockups are mislabelled ones (we all remember how accurate mags were back then).

Hello DerekAutista123,

Take a look on the EAB File server under "~Uploads/DamienD/Non-TOSEC [20-02-2016]"; you will find this

Code:
02/20/2016 04:52PM 355,288 Sonic the Hedgehog.zip

Those screenshots are mockup bullshit, this game never existed. Whatever the link is, it's not what the OP is looking for, because he is looking for what doesn't exist.
(The link is for that fake demo some demogroup made)

SEGA cancelled US Golds licence before the game ever got off the ground, they decided it was to be a SEGA exclusive character.

Wise move, Amiga version being handled by US Gold = Tiertex......that shit aint funny, as the Strider 'engine' gets an airing for the third time.

That mockup doesn't even make sense.

Tiertex handling Sonic would be really epic. We probably would have Sonic also for Spectrum, which would be super-epic.

I hope he was being sarcastic

That "screenshot" is like they asked some kid, the son of someone at a the magazine, with Deluxe Paint to make it up. So bad

I think the NES version is a good impression of what a Tiertex-made Amiga port would be like.

Lol what a crappy NES version. Well with good programmer you get good results. The Master System version is brilliant, it has a better gameplay than the original MD game.

Truly a great version, but better gameplay than the original? No way.

Then compare carefully. The MD version plays like a generic tech demo of what Sonic 2 later was. Makes more fun on the Master System.
