Well guys

My Name says it all this was my ALL TIME favorite home computer.

I still have my CPC Boxed ( I have a couple actually) and more original tapes than I have room for.

But IMHO some of the best games were.

Ollie & Lissa - The Candlelight Adventures
Macrocosmica
Skate Wars
Robin Hood
Titanic

Too many others to name but these stick out the most

Great (and old) news!!

The Amiga can be used to write CPC disks (no more headaches with CPDWrite or 22Disk). Download the CPC emulator for Amiga A-CPC and in the tools folder you'll find an util called 'dsk2real'

for example:

dsk2real 0 gryzor.dsk 1

will write the disk image gryzor.dsk on a disk inserted in DF0: using the side 1 of the CPC disk.

My Amstrad CPC Good News,

I now own a Amstrad 664! Now i have all the CPCs!

My Amstrad CPC Bad News,

I think ive fried my PCs floppy disk controller when i attached my 3" drive to it to write some dsk files
Never happened on my old motherboard...

You can attach the 3" drive to the Amiga if you read the docs included with the A-CPC emu, but the best option is to add the 3.5" drive to the CPC.

Some bad news: dsk2real doesn't support extended disk formats, so most copy protected disks only can be copied using CPDWrite

I miss those happy CPC days, the noise of the tape loading, the green monitor, the endless nights playing Bloodwych, Rick Dangerous, Nebulus, La Abadia del Crimen, Gryzor, Navy Moves, Combat School, Karnov, Abu Simbel, Marauder, Wec Le Mans, Dragon Ninja, Target Renegade, Buggy Boy, La Diosa de Cozumel...

Jim: I remember that starting pack, don't remember which games were in it though!

Hmm, maybe:

Fruit Machine
Animal Vegetable Mineral
Caves of Doom?
Galactic Plague?

Argh, I can't remember!

Oh Mummy,
Roland On The Ropes,
Roland on the Run
Roland in the Caves
The Galactic Plague

Goto www.cpcgamereviews.com for your CPC fix!

The PC problem is weird. My PC recognises the drive (in XP) but the light never comes on.

CPC Oxygen.net are showing the way to us by starting to scan in all 117 issues of Amstrad Action. We really should start a similiar project for Amiga Format, Amiga Power and CU Amiga. Hell, even The One or Amiga Action!

The scanner dude has been thorough enough to even scan the ad pages...looking at this brought back some fond fond memories

Fixed up broken link. -Admin

You know, in the TOSEC or Good Amstrad CPC sets, their are diskmags that may have it. it might take a bit of old fashioned digging.

Ohhhh, I love my CPCs.

Especially the French CPC 6128 Plus!!
I drove to France to pick it up because I was afraid of delivery damage.

This was a cool trip. Pure fun!

The link to a-cpc.lha seems down. Anyone has the archive? Or just the dsk2real would be nice.

Edit: Here it is: http://www.cepece.info/amstrad/download/a-cpc.lha
