expensive in sale - cheap in production

three years ago i purchased amiga forever 2013 premium (3 dvds) and c64 forever 2013.
both products together cost €55,75 in total. lot of money. now, here comes the funny fact:
although this purchase was not cheap, the dvds i got were very cheap in production.
no pressed disks! all data (and videos) was burnt onto blank disks. see attached pictures.
and now the even more funny part. although always sitting in corresponding disk case,
after €55,75 and only THREE YEARS, all these disks are NOT READABLE anymore!!! WTF?!?
so now i have to search for ripped .iso images for products, i have ALREADY PAID for!!!

my advice if you're planning to buy physical discs from cloanto: INSIST ON PRESSED DISKS!
this price should be worth pressed disks! i'm royally pissed. really.

//edit: can a moderator please change "produce" to "production" in title? thx.

All Amiga Forever's are produced this way.
Not sure why you are posting here. Contact cloanto, they will sort it out for you.

Im guessing you have tried them on another machine, just to be sure.

You can also change the title yourself. Edit, go advanced and edit title entry box.

As Fol said, contact Cloanto, they'll most likely send you some disks or a link to download some .iso's.

i've already contacted cloanto three weeks ago (october 19) and still got no answer.
now i post this here to warn others. and not all amiga forever's were produced this way.
i have here amiga forever 2.0 and 3.0 from late 90s and early 00s which are real cds.
as i look through my cloanto discs it seems they went from pressing to burning with 5.0,
don't have amiga forever 4.0, so i don't know if it was a real disc or already a burnt cd.

and yes, of course i have tried on three different drives in two different machines.

title changing only works within this thread. in forum there is still "produce" in title.

They could be very busy. Try again or even better try PM'ing him on EAB.
I will also give him a shout on skype for you.

I had hassles contacting them to get my software again..... they said wasnt their problem and I had to contact the firm that dealt with the payments etc - contacted them, and they said not their problem either (which is right, theyre just the payment guys)..... cant remember who ended up supplying me with the installer again. I'll check my emails and let you know, might be worth contacting whoever it was to check into...

you can find some scans using google image search.
search for "amiga forever" without quotes. cannot find anything else.

Try a different DVD drive, or run a cleaning disc through your current one. Make backups as soon as you get them working.

as cloanto won't respond to any email, can someone please upload dvds 2 and 3 (the ones with videos)?
i own amiga forever 2013, as already proven in first post of this thread, so for me these are legit copies.
i already spent money for being allowed watching these videos on dvd2/3 and i want to get access again.
thanks in advance.

I requested support from Amiga Forever due to a ROM binary issue. It took them 3 weeks, but they did reply and emailed me the binary I needed. If you bought the disc-based version, it should also have had a 'right' (with serial number) to download the ISO of the disks (limited number of times, something like 20 or 50 irrc).

Now, I did not go to Cloanto's main site and attempt to contact, I used https://www.amigaforever.com/support/

ISO option was include in 2013 and later according to this: https://www.amigaforever.com/kb/15-118

I checked my email from purchase and it included a link directly to the ISO version download. I purchased the 2016 version, so I can't speak to the process being identical.

TL;DR - If you have registered your copy, you should be able to get the ISO from them. If you need support, they are more likely to get back to you from https://www.amigaforever.com/support/
