WHDLoad transfer Key
I have my WHDLoad.key on my harddrive inside an Amiga 600 and i want to put it on my A1200. This is maybe as simple as it sounds but just wanted to double check that,
1. you can have the same key on more than one computer 2. can i just copy the key file onto a disk and then put it in the same place on my A1200? |

The key is for YOUR personal use.

But the key is not transferable to another user. Quote:

Why 5 or 6 files?
I have a legit key for years and it is just one file WHDLOAD.key located in S: You can of course use it on all your miggies. I strongly discourage pirating WHDLOAD key as it would be a total non sense to an amiga user. At the contrary, some people have registered twice to support the team. I am considering that myself because it deserves it. |

Of course it was bought and paid for. I don't see how using it on another Amiga he owns is pirating the key? The files I have are: WHDLoad.key WHDLoad.key.bak WHDLoad.key.bak.bak WHDLoad.key.LiesMich WHDLoad.key.LisezMoi WHDLoad.key.ReadMe And I put them in S: although there are other locations within the ReadMe that you can use. I did not say it is pirating.
It was just a general comment about piracy. I think the bak files are useless as i do not have them on my hard drive. Quote:

Ah Ok, misunderstood you. Just thought you meant it's pirating to use the key on more than one Amigas.

You only need the 1 key.
Steve are they all the same key??? If not you have some pirate keys there! The readme tells you how to use/where to put the keyfile |

All these files where in the .lha provided by Bert. I thought all the files together constituted as the 'Key' but if you only need the one file, I wonder why the others were provided? I've seen another persons Key file (someone I helped setup a HDD for) they also had these same files. Steve. |

it's ok to use your key on your multiple machines, you should not give it to other people though

WHDLoad.key This is a BAcKup of the key: WHDLoad.key.bak This is a BAcKup's BAcKup of the key (just in case the first two didn't extract correctly from the archive): WHDLoad.key.bak.bak This is a readme file in German: WHDLoad.key.LiesMich This is a readme file in French: WHDLoad.key.LisezMoi This is a readme file in English: WHDLoad.key.ReadMe I thought everyone reads the ReadMe when they see one after unpacking an archive. If you never did, it's high time to start reading them. |
