WB app to show IDE activity?

Hi hi.

I just installed Kippers2k's 8MB+IDE card in an A500. I did not bother with the LED though. Figured I could find a little program to show HD activity in WB instead, since that's where I usually wonder if the HD is working on something or not.

I've come up empty though. Anyone know a little program to blink when HD activity is on?

Something like this, but for HD: http://aminet.net/disk/misc/DiskBusy2.readme

Thanks!

Edit: might have found one. Testing now.. http://aminet.net/package/disk/misc/drivel12
Yes, that did the trick.
DriveLight scsi.device trackdisk.device
To show HD and floppy. Will try to find something nicer looking..

This was even better. Makes the power led blink when accessing HD =)

Toss it in C: and at the top of the startup-sequence:
C:Run <>NIL: C:LightUp

Wish I'd known about this back in the day on my A500 - I hardwired my LED to a leg on Paula to support AdIDE.

I've "always" used Executive's Dashboard for that too. You can get leds for any device, I've used separate read and write leds for IDE, SCSI, floppy and network activity.

I wonder if Tinymeter had similar function.. can't remember anymore...

Wow, its much more powerful than the rest, I guess!

DiskLED uses a small and neat window for showing HD/floppy/power leds and its position on screen is configurable.

Heh, I haven't tried those others, but at least Dashboard is very configurable. Here's little snapshots of my configs during the years :P

Cropped drive activity led parts only, Dashboard itself does awful lot more too Seems I also had CD-rom led separately and ramdisk access too at some point...

Needing a solution to this problem (to get some feedback from my Vampire-2 MicroSD access) I stumbled upon this thread and this solution worked best for me:

http://aminet.net/package/util/moni/IdleLed

I tried to recompile the Modula-2 source to change led from power to floppy (which is unused in my system) with no luck, but alone works ok with POWER led.
