WANTED: a FPU for this board MA1208 by Bio-Con

hi all well i finally got myself a a1200 ram expansion....and found out it takes a fpu so if anyone has one that will fit please let me know

this is the board

the top one

looks like i need a PLCC one as the card does not have a PGA socket .... so if anyone has one that will fit (i dont know what will) please let me know .... is it a matter of just pushing it in and job done ?

PGA one can still be soldered to the board directly.

But it's a lot easier to just push a PLCC one into the socket.

Does your card have a crystal? You'll probably need one of those too.

Just increasing his options.....16mhz pga fpu's are cheap as chips on ebay....scoose the pun

i think so this is what my card looks like ... the crystal is the silver square one i'm guessing .... only pic i got until the card arrives

What you could do, if you are THAT CONFIDENT, is get a PGA socket and solder it in.
