Hi

does anybody have - or know where to get scans from - some of these nice Maniac Mansion goodies. Is there a CAPS release planned for it ?

Thanks.

That is quite a bit of stuff!

There is a C.A.P.S. release planned for everything... But no, we do not have any scans for this game at the moment.

HOL Database (id=2405) has box/disk, but I guess you already tried there...

I have an opened box Commodore version (complete, I *think*) and would scan it if someone wants, but I imagine purists will want the Amiga version scanned just in case.

I think we've said this already, but anyway...
many of the games are cross platform in their manual etc, the only difference you normally find e.g. between an Amiga and the ST package of the same game is normally a sticker on the box saying the correct version.
This is true of 8 bit versions as well, but only if they were published at the same time with their 16 bit counterparts.
This means of course that ST people can safely submit scans etc. too (and of course dumps, but not related to this at all), and other communities too so long the manuals and boxes mention the 16 bit versions and their operation - of course we are going to double check.
One good example would be if somebody would scan the poster from a non-Amiga version of "Tracker", as the amiga one is a lot less common, than the rest.

However...

In the case of Maniac Mansion the C64 version had been published years before the 16 bit ports and is likely to be packaged differently (might be the same though).
So in this case it is a good idea to scan any of the 16 bit versions for authenticity and if anything is amiss and impossible to get hold on, we can still revert to the c64 package for the missing item(s).

That's a good idea. I hope somebody has all these things, but I think so...
Ok, of course I know CAPS does all the work for everybody, but for my part I would be very happy to get a release for...

MILLENIUM 2.2 (already known from another thread )

MANIAC MANSION

Thank you all...
