Nice Site, Some of the manuals are pretty huge. Any chance of burning these to DVD and mail them to people that are interested. It will save on a lot of bandwidth. |

Hi altogether,
I've added a new category on my Website. Hope that's useful also... There are now Schematics and Service manuals too (not much in yet but will filled step by step)... And since the last bigger update from 8th April there are many new manuals for all who need it. Cheers Josh |

Nice job, mate!
So now I have also to rearrange my collection. Because I sorted all schematics into the hardware folder, as schematics are hardware related. |

Thanks for gathering all these manuals.
I found a broken link : The link to eBooks doesn't work on the main page. EDIT : Anyone knows if the volume II of the Programmer's Handbook has been scanned and/or PDF'd ? While, apparently, volume 1 is not up there with the best book of the subject, volume 2 topics are equally important, so it would be a nice addition. Quote:

Your site could use some design improvement like have the left side bar displaying all categories instead of just "manuals" and having pdf sizes written beside the names not below that would make the navigation less painful.
I think i've got some manuals which aren't listed on your site. also: The requested URL /hardware/Commodore+Amiga+A500-A2000+Technical+Reference+Manual.pdf was not found on this server. |

Uploading them right now, they should be available in about 2 hours (there's 27 of them).

@NewDeli:
thanks for your ideas - I will have a look for this... @hitchhikr: thanks for your efforts. Most of them I have left here - Workbench manuals are deliberately not online because I don't wanna have troubles with the "Amiga police" Cheers Josh |

Great site - only two suggestions I have are:
1. Remove frames 2. Display the lists a little differently apart from having everything centred down the middle - maybe add a search feature as well. As you get more and more added something like this could be really helpful and it'll be easier to add them to a database now rather than later. |

Thanks for flowers
It's planned to move to another provider... Quote:
For a search feature or database I would need the help of other user(s) - because I have absolutely no plan of php. Anyone here would like to do this job? Cheers Josh |

Some kind of wiki wouldn't require a lot of external help, I guess.
I myself use a fork based on an ancient portal solution : php-nuke (see it in action here). It's a feature full portal, excellent at displaying "stuff" (articles, downloads...) in an standardized manner... once you get the hang of it. Well, that would probably be overkill. But if people aren't put off by its sheer ugliness, I would gladly expand my "download pad" with an Amiga manuals section, depending on what suits you best of course. Note that some of the downloadable archives present on it may be in a grey zone area in terms of copyright compliance . |
