Hope we can expect a 3.1.4 based ClassicWB that comes close to the 3.9 version. Then I would seriously consider migrating my systems to 3.1.4.

Hello Bloodwych
Could you modify the install script for ClassicWB FULL. Hyperions new release of Workbench 3.1.4 is not recognised as a valid Workbench disk during installation. If you need help with beta testing a new installer script then let me know and I will then endeavor to help. Setpatch under Workbench 3.1.4 identifies itself as 45.15 so I assume your getting the version number that way with the installer to identify the Workbench version. Workbench 3.1.4 has nice features I would like, like big hard drive support and nicer shell, but I cannot use with Classic Workbench becase it doesn't recognize it as valid Workbench disk.
Could you please handle this issue? ![]() |

I'm having some difficulty with ClassicWB.
All I want to know is this: How do I go from having a working copy of WinUAE, to having a working Amiga Emulator with Workbench running. Surely there is a simple guide on how to do this for Amiga/WinUAE novices? |

There is..
Ensure you have all files needed to emulate the version of workbench you're after, then start winuae, make sure if can see and identity your roms. Once done quickstart whichever amiga you're after... Pop the correct workbench adf in the drive... It'll boot to commodores workbench as they saw it. From here you can install to HD (use the install adf etc).. If you want a proper setup as a beginner then classicwb is the way to go until you build the knowledge to do it yourself. |
