ClassicWB packs are offline until xmas
All the old packs are now off-line until the xmas release, which, all things going well, will be sometime in December.
I'll upload some beta's this weekend for people who are desperate and these can be requested via pm, but the public packs will be unavailable for the next few weeks leading up to the big launch. Thanks for everyone's support. |

I actually deleted them (the old packs) by accident, so tried to upload the newer packs but upload speeds were abysmal, then finally realized they're not ready until I have KG's superb KGLoad thingy integrated so ditched the release until a later date.
Oh well, stupidity isn't exclusive. There is enough to go around for everybody. |

Is there no way to obtain a ClassicWB_FULL.zip from anywhere before Bloodwych releases the Xmas release? (I tried Google with the zip filename and even a few torrent search engines but to no avail )
I have a brand new A1200 with accelerator here and I'm *really* itching to test the hard drive and the wonderful ClassicWB Magic(TM) with WHDLoad - I've heard so much good praise of it edit: Ok, found a version to play with - thanks to a kind fellow soul, you know who you are Finally I have something to try the CompactFlash HD with, before the Xmas release comes about! -- Amiga Magic(TM), here I come Last edited by Andymiga; 14 December 2008 at 00:18. |

Hi everyone! I recently discovered Classic WB and i really want to try it! Normally id wait for the new release. But since i am going to give a 1200 to my brother as a present and i think Clasic WB would be VERY nice to be installed, i wanted to ask, if there is a possibility to get it earlier.
Unfortunately i was not able to figure out, how to send PM in this forum, so thats why i am posting this... Sorry for spaming! |

Yes welcome Lars and you soon will be addicted.
Well Bloodwych tried the pack in WinUAE and must tell what a nice work you put in there. It suits me perfectly. I like the layout of things, how they're organized, simple, functional, quick access. Truly great job! |

Not long to go now...
I'm really looking forward to your v24F Xmas releases, Bloodwych! I liken the Classic Workbench package approach to that of a small, select bunch of programmers who even now still release and maintain freeware DOS or Windows command-line utilities for the PC, written in compact, efficient and extremely fast assembly language, that do exactly the job they were meant to do with no frills. These will make even a '286 machine perform most adequately. You always know the Classic Workbench packages will get the very best from your Amiga - either real or emulated. For example, just look at the search for the optimum colour-depth covered in the ClassicWB 68K for A600 with 3.1 ROMS thread: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=40116 This is why I like them so much! Thanks, prowler |
