Well done Nobby and Biscuit!

@Havie That's gutting. I've done it myself in the past, but I've never really been a regular entrant until this year.

Pretty pleased again with this month's result. I should have really got Police Quest for another point but hey-ho. Amiga Classics next time, yeah?

Thanks again Mr Horizon!

Thanks for the sympathy - my own fault. Always collect my answers on a word document so I can keep track of what I'm doing so I don't feel the need to re-enter them all each time I find a new one. Just need to add an entered box at the top or bottom and remember to check. Was hoping to finish higher than last year but blown it now.

Never mind, it's only for fun...and I won't need to update my secret excel spreadsheet to check that I'm beating Nobby

Yeah I was wondering how you hadn't entered, as you were active in the thread as usual.

It happens... but yes it gives Nobby_uk a strong edge to finish first this year.

June Quiz - Frankensteins Monster

Red Alert! Red Alert! All values are off the scale, containment breach is imminent... save yourself, tHe mOnStErS aRe cOmInG!!! o_O

We expect a breakout of four creatures like mankind has never seen before - pieced together from parts, like the legendary creature of Dr. Frankenstein, but not from corpses - no, built from the video game monsters that YOU picked last round! D:

Can you identify all body parts of this monstrous horde?? Because only then, ONLY THEN, can these beasts be driven back!

There is also a bonus question, as the source of the title image (the lab with these ominous glowing glass cylinders) is taken from a recent video game. But which one?

Deadline is Tuesday the 30th of June. This post is just the intro... the monsters will be revealed one after the other in the coming days.

http://www.retrogamequiz.com

This quiz has been inspired by an idea from the user a gentle Breeze from the Powerplay forum, his good work failed two years ago due to a lack of participants. Here's a link (click on "frameset laden" at the bottom for the full forum). I have his permission to try this format again.

#17 was police quest!? How cruel is that, I was not aware or did not remember there was a VGA remake of it I think Police Quest, I think EGA graphics and bleeping noises. Even on the Amiga.

It was a very pretty remake.

Monster A (one out of four)

ALARM! Containment breach! Everybody get ready! A Creature has broken free from its cage, and it is... and it is... a HiDeOuS mOnStEr! o_O

Identify as many body parts as you can - you can name the game or the character.

Please participate via http://www.retrogamequiz.com - it's our only way to stop the beast!

yeah, should be a lower scoring round.

I will definitely struggle with some of the more recent games.

I'm getting a little confused that this is split up into four different submissions with only one form. I guess we have to fill in the fields each time a new monster is revealed only for that monster?

Seems like a logistical nightmare to have so many submissions per person.

You can also use the entries for the new monsters to update any new findings on the previous ones... but yes, that's the general idea.

It is a bit cumbersome, yes. The last time I had this kind of format was in March 2018, the fake screenshots #3. Scroll to post 28 on this page.... this was the early days when it was only Nobby_uk who was participating.

It was already a hassle then, and now the quiz has twice as many players. Ask me again by the end of the month!

Right'o. I already did my first submission assuming what I said was true... got only 5 of 7. That does not bode well for the other three monsters, because I have the sneaky suspicion this was the easy one.
